The Advice Spot strongly believes that organisations should communicate their social and environmental effects to the broader community. In this regard, it involves extending the accountability of organisations beyond the traditional role of providing a financial account to the owners of the business. Such an extension is based upon the assumption that businesses do have a wider responsibility than to simply make money for their owners. Certain environmental reports are being encouraged by The Advice Spot and other accountants and accounting associations but are not yet mandatory. Full disclosure of environmental effects as a result of economic actions is an issue that The Advice Spot firmly supports and rallies for.

• Re using and recycling all paper products
• E-commerce where possible
• Volunteering in community projects
